Problem
During setup, your Wi-Fi network does not appear in the list of available networks on the Grungard app.
1. Check Your Frequency Band
Grungard devices only support 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks. If your router broadcasts a combined 2.4/5 GHz network, or if only the 5 GHz band is active, the device will not detect it. Log in to your router settings and ensure the 2.4 GHz band is enabled and broadcasting separately.
2. Move Closer to the Router
If the device is too far from the router, the signal may be too weak to detect. During initial setup, try moving the device closer to the router. You can move it to its final location after pairing is complete.
3. Hidden Networks
If your Wi-Fi network is set to "hidden" (not broadcasting its SSID), it will not appear in the scan list. You can either unhide the network temporarily in your router settings, or manually enter the network name and password in the app.
4. Restart Your Router
In some cases, a simple router restart resolves detection issues. Unplug the router, wait 10 seconds, plug it back in, and wait for it to fully boot before scanning again.
