What You Need
- A Grungard irrigation controller (Wi-Fi or Bluetooth model)
- A smartphone with the Grungard app installed
- Access to your Wi-Fi network (for Wi-Fi models)
Step 1 — Download the App
Download the Grungard app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Open the app and enter your phone number to log in or create an account.
Step 2 — Scan the QR Code
On the device, locate the QR code label. In the app, tap "Add Device" and scan the QR code with your phone's camera.
Step 3 — Connect to Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi Models Only)
Select your home Wi-Fi network from the list and enter the password. The device supports 2.4 GHz networks only — 5 GHz networks will not appear in the list.
Step 4 — Set Your Location
Mark your location on the map so the device can use local weather data for smart irrigation features. Make sure GPS/location permissions are enabled on your phone.
Step 5 — Test Your Zones
Use the "Water Now" button in the app to test each zone. Confirm that each valve opens and closes properly.
Step 6 — Create a Schedule
Go to Irrigation Schedules, tap the + button, select the days and times, and set the duration for each zone. Save your schedule and you are done!
